How It Works
Entering a competition takes less than two minutes. Here's everything you need to know.
Pick a prize
Every competition shows its ticket cap. Fewer tickets means better odds.
Answer the question
Answer one simple question correctly to enter. It is what makes this a prize competition, not a lottery.
Check for instant wins
Your ticket numbers are revealed straight away. Match an instant win number and the cash is yours there and then.
Watch the draw
The main prize is drawn live on the draw date, and every winner is posted on our Winners page.
Receive Your Ticket Number
Once your entry is confirmed, you will be issued one unique ticket number per entry. Your ticket numbers are stored in your account under My Tickets and emailed to you for your records. Keep them safe - this is your proof of entry.
Watch the Draw & Get Notified
On the draw date, a winning ticket number is selected at random and the result is published on our website. If your ticket number is drawn, we will contact you using the details on your account to verify your identity and arrange your prize.
Free Postal Entry Route
A free postal entry route is available for every competition. Free entries go into the same draw as paid entries with exactly the same chance of winning. Where a competition has a skill question, a correct answer is still required.
- 1
Write your details on a postcard or plain piece of paper. Include your full name, home address, date of birth, email address and phone number.
- 2
Add the competition name and any skill question answer. Write the exact name of the competition you want to enter. If that competition's page shows a skill question, add your answer - entries without a correct answer can't be entered into the draw.
- 3
Post it to our free entry address. Send your entry, with the correct postage, to: Top Odds Competitions, 43 Arnhem Road, Preston, PR1 4QN
- 4
One entry per envelope. One entry per person, per competition, per envelope. Multiple entries in one envelope will be disqualified. Post a separate envelope for each competition you want to enter.
- 5
Allow time for delivery. Postal entries must arrive at least 5 days before the advertised draw date. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt, and we cannot accept responsibility for entries lost or delayed in the post.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are my odds of winning?
Each competition has a fixed maximum number of tickets, shown on the page. One ticket gives you odds no worse than 1 in that number, and better if it does not sell out. More tickets improve your chances.
Is there a free entry route?
Yes. Every competition has a free postal entry route in line with UK competition law. Send your details to the address on our Free Entry page and you will be entered with the same odds as paid entrants.
How do instant cash wins work?
Certain ticket numbers are set as instant winners before a competition goes live. If you are given one, the cash is added to your cash wallet straight away and you can withdraw it to your bank.
Is the draw still held if tickets do not sell out?
Yes. Every competition is drawn on its draw date, whatever the ticket sales.
Can I get a refund?
Entries are non-refundable once confirmed. If a competition is cancelled by us, you will receive a full refund automatically.
